Over half a century has passed since the end of World War II. Most of the men and women who fought in that war are gone now. The uniforms they wore, the weapons they carried and the fighting vehicles which carried them into battle are also fast disappearing. Likewise, our memories of the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, and even the Gulf War are also fading fast. The TOYLAND COMBAT VEHICLES LIVING HISTORY PROGRAM is dedicated to keeping these memories alive and well.

TOYLAND COMBAT VEHICLES, located in Rusk, Texas, was founded in 1995, to supply military vehicles, equipment, and trained re-enactors to the motion picture industry.

Under the direction of Texas Children's author, Tom Townsend, the LIVING HISTORY PROGRAM utilizes his own collection of military vehicles, along with a wide variety of antique military equipment. Trained and uniformed re-enactors serve as tour guides throughout.
